Salem Continuing Education's Enrichment Program, for adults 18 and over, offers a variety of non credit classes focused on education, socialization, and the sharing of common interests. Students from all communities are welcome to register for a class.

Using acrylics is an easy way to learn how to paint. We will work using elements from different photos, objects, and color to create our own interpretation of a landscape, still-life, or figure. We will incorporate elements of collage, impasto, and pouring techniques into our artwork. Supply list emailed upon registration.

Are you new to crochet or wish to review the basics? Learn how to hold your hook and yarn, crochet the four basic crochet stitches, count crochet stitches and rows, create a slip knot and chain stitch, and crochet the four basic crochet stitches. Unleash your creativity and improve your writing skills. This class is for aspiring writers of creative fiction and nonfiction. We will discuss choosing points of view, what drives a story (character vs plot vs setting), genres and subgenres of fiction and nonfiction, and review the four most common ways to begin a story that will entice readers to continue.

Perspective drawing is a technique to create illusion of depth and 3D space on a flat, 2D surface, making objects appear to recede into the distance as they get farther away. Looking for a creative and practical DIY project? Learn how easy it is to make your own soap or soy candles. Section 01, we will explore the soap making process and teach you how to make a variety of spring scented soaps in 4-ounce molds. Join us for a Saturday morning stretch. We will focus on breathwork while holding stretches for at least one minute, so we can give our bodies a chance to fully relax into the stretch. Please bring a mat, and a yoga strap for assistance on stretches (not required).

All classes will meet at Salem High School, 44 Geremonty Drive, Salem NH. Enter through the After Hours Drop Off/Performing Arts entrance. Classroom numbers will be posted in the lobby.

Enrichment classes are for students ages 18 plus.

Students will not be added to the class roster until both registration and payment have been received. Regrettably, we are not able to save spots without a registration and payment.

If you withdraw at least one week prior to the start of class, you will receive a refund. Day of or once classes begin, no refunds will be given.
