Winter/Spring, 2010
Thank you for taking the time to visit Woodbury's web page. I hope you and your children use this resource on a regular basis to find updated information about our middle school.
Though we are still waiting for the first warm days of spring to arrive, we are already well into the transition for the 2010-2011 school year. The eighth graders have met with high school staff and administration to prepare for their freshman year and our guidance counselors are hard at work coordinating with our elementary schools to welcome our incoming sixth grade class in the fall. We look forward to meeting with grade five parents on March 23 beginning at 6:00 PM.
Along with our preparation for next year, we have a number of school activities coming up that I would encourage all of you to attend. These include our annual Winter Carnival on March 12, Spring Follies on March 24, Cabaret on April 7, and our theatre group’s production of Wonderland on April 9 and 10. By spring’s end we will have had another round of performances by our band and chorus groups, and on a nice day, you can almost always catch a sporting event behind our school.
I would like to thank our staff and students for all of their efforts throughout the year. It is their hard work and commitment that makes our school a successful environment for learning and personal growth. I would also like to thank our wonderful PTSA for their tireless volunteer efforts and donations to our school.
Please do not hesitate to call me or the staff with any concerns, questions, or suggestions. Your active involvement in your children's education is a key component to their success.
Maura Palmer, Principal
