Welcome the the Salem High School Math & Science Department 

Math Department

 

The Salem High School Math Department is comprised of 17 teachers.  Course offerings include three successful  Advanced Placement courses – AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC.  Additionally, several courses are eligible for college credit through the Manchester Community College’s Running Start program.  Students are required to take three math credits for graduation, however they are strongly encouraged to take a minimum of four, including Algebra 2.

 

 

Science Department

 

The Salem High School Science Department is comprised of 21 teachers.  Students are required to take three credits of science for graduation, but are strongly encouraged to take a minimum of four.  There are a wide range of electives offered.  Several courses are eligible for college credit through the Manchester Community College’s Running Start program.  Additionally, there are two successful Advanced Placement courses, AP Biology and AP Chemistry. 

 

 

JROTC

 

Air Force JROTC has two instructors and is a program that stresses citizenship and leadership skills.  The program offers a variety of aerospace science courses through which students study aviation and its impact on society.    A senior level course, Honors Ground School, enables students to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Examination.
