Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is with pleasure and excitement that the staff and I welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year. We look forward to working with you in a climate characterized by high expectations that promote self-esteem, a sense of community, and a strong desire to learn. We strive at Haigh School to celebrate the unique differences of all of our students and meet their individual needs.

Our kindergarten program has two sessions. The A.M. class starts at 9:00 and ends at 11:30 and our P.M class arrives at school at 12:30 and is dismissed at 3:00. Our kindergarten students have a designated classroom filled with brand new tables, supplies, books, and toys. Having these youngsters join our school community has added extra smiles, laughter, and excitement to our school day.

The Haigh staff and PTA encourage you to become an active participant in your school. Whether you choose to read aloud to a class, decorate a bulletin board, assist with the after school program, or assist by providing coverage for a staff member, your contribution is valued and appreciated. We value the concept of teamwork and hope you join us as we work to strengthen the culture of our school and offer our students the best well-rounded education they could possibly have.

Our school web-site is designed to answer questions you may have about our school and serve as a resource throughout the year.  Please pay particular attention to our new bell schedule that includes recess before lunch and a SUCCESS block every day.  To stay informed, visit our web-site often and bookmark it as a favorite.

We are here to answer questions and address any concerns you may have now and during the school year. Please do not hesitate to call the office anytime, 893-7064. I look forward to welcoming you in to our school community and working with you to provide our students with a rewarding and memorable school year.

Respectfully yours,

Christine Honey-Nadeau Principal
